Health Insurance Coverage Provides Business And Staff Protection From Unforeseen Health Issues


A sole owner of Texas llc who works few hours per week is counted in for getting small group health insurance?
The above llc has 1 full time employee (wife) who works more than 30 hours per week. I guess the owner and the spouse make the minimum numner (2) required for a small group. In this situation, can the llc post its owner/employee abroad to deliver the services for which this llc has obtained service agreements from foreign companies situated abroad? For a small group insurance eligibility the total number in the LLC who are willing to enroll for health insurance should be 2. Hence this question to check if the owner who is not exactly a full time employee, would he be counted in or he has to work for certain minimum number of hours in order to be eligible? The second part of the question was to check that If the LLC's work requires the owner and the 1 employee to be posted abroad, does it affect the small group insurance eligibility? Also, for HIPAA eligibility, is an employee of a LLC, as mentioned above, which offers a small group insurance, considered ok or one has to be an employee of a large group corporation only (employing more than 50 persons)?

I'm enrolling in a small group health insurance, and confused about certain terms.?
In my "Plan Design and Benefits" i see there's a "Preferred care' and "Non-Preferred Care" - what's the difference? For instance, in the Physician Services, the Preferred has $20 office copay while the Non-Preferred has 40% after deductible. Another is, what's the difference between deductible and premium? My company will pay for my health benefits, but and confused on what to choose, since I don't go to the hospital a lot?
